Tachartasan gu leòr! | Lots coming up!

Tha sinn trang an-seo aig Oilthigh Dhùn Èideann, a’ cur fàilte air na h-oileanaich agus a’ tòiseachadh na bliadhna. Bha sinn toilichte tòrr fhaicinn aig an Hallò-ro-gheallaidh agus na tachartasan eile an t-seachdain a chaidh.

We’re busy here at the University of Edinburgh, welcoming new students and starting the year as we mean to continue! It was fantastic to see so many at our Welcome Evening last week and the other events we’ve had so far.

Tha na tachartasan cunbhalach againn uile a’ ruith an-dràsta, agus sin agad ar Cearcall Còmhraidh, Buidheann Seinn, Ùrnaighean Gàidhlig agus Seiseanan Blasad Cànan is Cultar na Gàidhlig. Airson barrachd fiosrachaidh air na tachartasan seo, tha na tachartasan uile againn air a’ mhìosachan seo.

Our regular events are all up and running again: Conversation Circle, Gaelic Song Group, Gaelic Prayers and Gaelic Language & Culture Taster sessions. You can find times and places as well as more info on this events calendar.

Oidhche Chiadain, bidh sinn a’ cur fàilte air daoine a dh’ionnsaich Gàidhlig aig an Oilthigh air panal airson tachartas ‘How to Learn Gaelic.’ Bidh an t-seisean seo gu feum airson luchd-ionnsachaidh a tha aig ìre tòiseachaidh. Gheibh iad comhairle agus beachdan bho dhaoine a tha air a dhèanamh mar-thà. Tha sin air a’ mhiosachan cuideachd, agus tha tachartas Facebook ann cuideachd.

Wednesday evening we’ll be welcoming a panel of former and current students at the University who will talk about their experiences learning Gaelic for our ‘How to Learn Gaelic’ event. This session is aimed at Gaelic learners at an early stage, and is not to be missed! Come along for tips and tricks on how to make the most of the opportunities at the Uni and in the city from people who have been there. More details can be found on the calendar above, or on the Facebook event.
